Impulse, being a 38.5 foot yacht, will carry upto 10 people but for the comfort of our guests, we like to hire Impulse out for a maximum of 8 guests.
If you are travelling to sail in Windermere, we will do our best to be flexible with the starting and finishing times of your sailing experience.
NB All Bank Holidays are charged at weekend rates.

What is Included in the Price of your Sailing Windermere Experience

Exclusive hire of Impulse - one of the largest yachts in Windermeret
Fully trained skipper - RYA Yacht master
Sailing tuition for guests that want to be involved
Customised package for your private hire - includes arranging extras eg birthday cake, flowers etc
All soft drinks, tea and coffee
Impulse has all the necessary health and safety features - being MCA coded - for an ocean-going yacht eg fire extinguishers, liferaft etc.

What to wear on Impulse

Please ensure you bring plenty of layers, even if the weather is very hot. Weather conditions can change quickly whilst sailing. Dress code is casual. Here are some ideas:

T shirt
A pair of warm gloves and socks
Fleece jacket
Lightweight trousers and shorts
Deck shoes or trainers - no heels
Warm fleecy hat -please note baseball caps fly off!
Waterproof/windproof jacket

"Where can I propose in Windermere?" What could be more romantic than popping the question on a luxurious yacht, on Lake Windermere, at sunset. Just you and your loved one and your own private captain. You have the entire yacht to yourselves. The whole evening can be arranged to suit your budget, we are very good at keeping surprises. Just imagine the sound of the wind in the sails and the waves lapping around the boat. The stunning scenery of the Lake District. Your special song playing on our stero sytem while you propose. We can also arrange for roses and champagne for you. If you want to be on your own, the captain can leave you alone at anchor, in a picturesque bay.

Sailing Windermere Taster
Climb aboard and marvel at the beauty of the surroundings as you learn new skills in our sailing taster day. Maybe you want a refresher before a flotilla holiday, or simply experience taking the helm of an ocean-going yacht and be introduced to the basics of sail handling on Lake Windermere.

Evening Sailing
After a busy day at work, what could be more relaxing than sailing in Windermere, with loved ones or friends.

Special occasion or surprise event
For that special birthday, anniversary, retirement or even proposal. We can organise as much as you like eg cake, balloons, flowers, music for your sailing experience.
