Impulse-Charters now operates out of Bowness on Windermere . If it's your first time Sailing on Windermere, it definitely won't be your last! With so many places to visit it's a good idea to plan ahead. Lake Windermere is the largest lake in England, being 10 ½ miles long. There is a lot of history - the remains of an axe factory dating back to 4000 BC were discovered in the area! There are so many Idyllic places to visit along the lakeside and the views are breathtaking in all seasons.
